Activities
From gardening and allotments to walking, running, and orienteering, our site offers diverse opportunities for all ages to connect with nature and stay active.
Growing Opportunities for All

Adults

Whether you are a seasoned gardener or a beginner, our community garden offers a space for learning and hands-on gardening experience. Adults can take part in growing seasonal produce, learning new skills, and contributing to a shared community project.

Families

Families are encouraged to work together in the garden, teaching children about the joy and responsibility of growing food, developing practical skills, and fostering social bonds in a nurturing and supportive outdoor environment.

Allotments

For those who wish to grow whatever interests them more independently, we offer allotments that provide personal spaces to cultivate a variety of crops and flowers. These plots allow individuals or families to manage their own garden, giving them the freedom to develop their gardening skills and produce whatever combination of flowers, vegetables and fruit that they wish.
Walking & Running

Our 80-acre site is ideal for those who enjoy walking or running in a natural environment.
With a network of tracks and paths winding through a diverse landscape, there are routes suitable for all fitness levels, from gentle walks to more challenging runs. The tranquil surroundings and striking views above Whiting Bay make it an enriching experience for walkers and runners.

Arran Orienteering

For those seeking a more demanding activity, we offer orienteering opportunities across the site.
Participants can explore the area while navigating using a map and compass, learning valuable skills such as route planning, problem-solving, and map reading. Our orienteering map should cater to various levels of difficulty, making this a fun and educational challenge for individuals, families, or groups.
