ACLI Funding

Our funding comes from grants, rentals, produce sales, and volunteer support, enabling us to sustain operations and achieve long-term financial sustainability.

The 80-acre land parcel owned by ACLI was purchased with a significant capital grant from The Scottish Land Fund. This was made possible by submitting a comprehensive feasibility study that outlined how the charity would achieve financial sustainability while fulfilling its charitable objectives.

Recognizing the need for grant funding during the initial phase, the feasibility study presented various pathways for the charity to develop a long-term, self-sustaining model. We have successfully achieved this goal. We now generate steady annual income through horse field rental, environmental and biodiversity grants, allotment rentals, and the sale of garden produce. Additionally, as a community-driven initiative, a significant portion of onsite work—such as gardening, grass/undergrowth management, tree planting, and path maintenance—is carried out by volunteers.
